Technological convergence means that television can be accessed on different devises and platforms e.g: on television sets, game consoles, tablets and mobile phones.

Channel surfing is when someone will quickly switch channels and therefore aren't being loyal to one show. It is routine for broadcast television and content is streamed as individual programmes or 'box sets' of series.
3. Give 3 examples of how channels create brand loyalty [6]
One example of how channels create brand loyalty is by using adds and promoting the new shows. Especially if the add has someone famous or recognisable in. This plants the seed of a show into a persons head and therefore will be more likely to tune in. Another way of creating brand loyalty would be by the use of suspense in the show at the beginning preferably so the viewer is hooked in and will watch until the end and might create a loyalty. Lastly a possible way to create brand loyalty is that the channel make sure they have the show on catch up or can be recorded so a person can go back to it if they need and catch up.
4. What is 'long form television drama' ? [2]
A 'long form television drama' is a type of drama that will try and ensue the audience's loyalty towards the show as the love for it grows. The audience is more likely to follow along each episode as it goes on for a period of time and will hook them in.
5. What is a 'flagship' programme? [2]
A 'flagship' programme is a programme that is directed to a certain audience focus and range. Therefore the people watching it will feel more connected and enjoy it more as it is aimed towards them and will again create a loyalty.
6. In exchange for the licence fee, what does the regulator require of the BBC as a Public Service Broadcasting channel? [6]
It requires original programming, mix of genres, arts and informational programming like the news, prime time and more. Their views depends on the subject and as the varieties of shows are large, so will the viewer numbers which will satisfy peoples needs.
