 According to The Times newspaper this week,  watching TV live and in real time accounts for most TV viewing.

1. What do you understand by the terms 'live' content and 'on demand' content?

The term 'live means that the viewer is watching at the exact moment the event or show is happening. This way they can be up to date with what's happening which can also show limits as perhaps the show someone wants isn't live and so will have to wait for it. The term 'on demand' means that this is recorded and the views can even skip whichever parts they wish and it has already happened. 

1. What is the demand for 'live' content like?

The demand for 'live; content is large as people want to feel connected to the show as the person is in the moment it is happening. Especially in the occurrences in the recent year people want to have something to look forward to and presents real situations as it is happening in the present time.  

1. According to ratings research, there are 8 programmes cited as the top live shows for family viewing. How many have you watched?

I have watched 4 out of the 8 programmes. This includes: Bake Off, Paddington, Strictly come dancing and the Queen's addresses.

If it is not live you can still interact with people as you can talk about it to a friend or comment which again helps with social interaction.
